A: When you use your debit card, it does deduct the money from your account; but, if you use your card at a gas station, it only holds $1.00 until your purchase clears (or posts) to your account.
Q: How old do you have to be to get a card when you have a saving/checking account?
A: You have to be 18 and it is under manager's decision.
Q: If I can get checks in my account and I am under 18, why can't I get a card?
A: It's a bank policy not to give cards to anyone under 18. A checking account is opened for a minor with their parent in the account. The parent takes responsibility for any checks that are written insufficiently.

A: You can speak to your branch manager about having your limit raised. It is set at $200.00 in the ATM and $1,500.00 at the point of sale for your protection.
